For the most frigid conditions the great ocean might toss your way, this cold water hooded wetsuit will keep you warmer, performing better and surfing longer. Improved circulation from the compression design increases body heat and energy levels.

It features a specific compression material and anatomically designed compression panels that move in unison with the body. The kinesiology based MST Muscle Taping provides additional support by wrapping your muscles in a cage like exoskeleton support structure. Enabling unmatched cold water performance.

The Yamamoto SCS Nano Skin on the hood maximizes solar absorption, warmth and wind protection. It is lined with zircronium fleece for extra warmth. We predict the Alpha Evade 454 will become the go to wetsuit in your cold water surfing arsenal.

I have just come back to the website looking to buy a new Alpha Evade 434 Hooded, my old one is now in it’s third season. It was the most money I have ever laid down for a wetsuit and now in hindsight it was probably the best value wetsuit I’ve ever had as well. It has not degraded like every other wetsuit I’ve ever owned has, even now after three full winters in the same suit, it does not leak at all, hasn’t stretched strangely like others have, and, is more comfortable in every way than all my other branded suits put together! It does have one ‘fault’, I have delaminated the knees on both legs, no big deal, but not something I’ve done to other suits.
In summary, I’m now 100% converted to Isurus. The build quality, the fit and the longevity all add up to being wetsuits that I’m happy to lay down my hard earned cash for!
This year I’m also adding a 222 to the quiver…

I bought a couple of Isurus wetsuits this winter and wrote a review a couple of months ago about the TI Alpha. Thought I should share my experience with this one as well. In a word: Outstanding! This suit performs exactly as I’d hoped. Very warm, flexible, and helped my cold water surfing for sure. Based on the performance I’d definitely recommend and buy another suit from these guys.

    BEST WETSUITS ON THE MARKET!
I’ve worn West wetsuits, Quiksilver, Billabong, Oneil, Xcel, and Ripcurl and can honestly say that none of them felt the way Isurus does. Some of the other suits i mentioned would soak up water, and then the wind would hit and i would get cold. Isurus suits dont soak up water, so i dont ever have to worry about that. My 434 hooded Evade (with booties on) doesnt even let in any water. I stay warm for 3-4 hour session with no water entry (unless i pee. lol). The material is very stretchy and forms to my body once i start wearing it. Whats also cool, is that if i hang up the 434 in the summer, when i get it back out in the winter it shrinks back like a new suit. Then i have to break it in and it forms to my body. The materials and construction is top of line and like nothing out on the market. Its mind blowing how far ahead they are in terms of the design and construction. The suit fit tight (which i like) and the sizing is perfect. Im 5’6″, 145lbs and i can wear a Small, Medium, or Medium Short and dont have to worry about cutting the legs or arms or anything. The suits are perfect. Very impressed about everything!

This is by far the best cold-water wetsuit I’ve ever owned. It is more flexible and warmer than the many top-end wetsuits from other companies I’ve tried over the years. The suit feels a bit snug at first, but after a session or two adjusted to my body like it was custom made. I’m 6’1″ about 175 and the LTS is the perfect size for me. The other wetsuit brands I’ve tried did not have a separate size for the long-tall-slim surfers. I also have an Alpha Elite 232 for last 3-4 years and it’s holding up great – not quite like new, but lasting much longer than the other brands I’ve tried. Could not be happier with these wetsuits.

Best wetsuits ever, I started surfing these wetsuits over 3 years ago, they are now like that magic board in my quiver. I can’t live with out them. Warm, Flexible, hydrophobic and well built. The compression fit takes a bit getting used to but after a 2 1/2 hour heavy session in Nor Cal I find that there are still some dry spots on the inside of my suit. That =’s warm!!!! Like I said, can’t live without Isurus!!

  6. Brent Laucher

My hooded Isurus is easily the best cold water wetsuit I have ever owned. I will put in full days during the winter and wear the suit all day staying super toasty and hardly feeling any restrictions. This is all while surfing and jetskiing well above the GG Bridge..The design is perfect and being 6’1 and 185 I find the LT to be a perfect fit..The hood is soft and keeps my head very warm and happy with out the ice cream headaches! Cannot be more stoked on a wetsuit line than I am with Isurus. Keep up the amazing work..Thanks

  7. Jeff Stephenson

Straight up luxury. I ordered online, sight unseen based on friends recommendations. Out of the box the suit felt luxurious. The rubber, taping, stitching is top notch. Luckily the size chart is spot on. I’m 6’3″ 195 and the XL fit perfectly. In the water the flex is unreal. Super unrestrictive …feels like I’m wearing a much lighter weight suit. And so warm! I haven’t been this stoked on a new suit for a long time. And to top it all off there was a hand written note on the invoice from the factory thanking me for the business. You don’t see that kind of old school connection between manufacture and end use customer anymore. Very refreshing! Thanks guys, keep it up!!

  8. Ryan

I’ve tried many of the “top brand” wetsuits. Nothing even comes remotely close to the overall warmth, performance, and flexibility of the Alpha Evade. Ive always had problems with finding a good fit since I have a lean athletic build with wide shoulders and chest. After a few surfs, the Evade started molding to my body and by the 20th surf it felt like a glove. Honestly, it feels like wearing a hooded 2mm if there was such a thing. The neoprene is second to none that Ive tried. It doesn’t absorb water, its super light and I never worry about feeling restricted by my suit. I primarily surf Ocean Beach in SF and this is my go to suit for most of the year. Ill never surf with another wetsuit manufacturer again. After giving the Evade a go its a no brainer to get a 4/5/4 and the 222. You wont regret spending a little more for something that vastly superior to anything else on the market. Im 5’11 155-160 with the build mentioned above and the MT is perfect.

  9. Chris Dunham

This is the ONLY hooded suit that I’ve ever enjoyed wearing. The hood doesn’t cause any discomfort or inhibit range of motion, body is super flexible, light weight and warm. My go to suit for surfing Nor. Cal. on even the coldest days!

  10. Scott

I started with a 434. As the review above mentioned, I was also hesitant about trying Isurus. I also was an Xcel man. Took some time before I made the final decision. I guess because you hear all these great things every year, and it ends up being the same deal. And Xcel, at that time, seemed to be the best I wetsuits on the market. When my friend and I first tried this suit, I will never forget it. We were out one winter day and could not believe how warm it was and how it was not causing any resistance. To say the least. The thing that made that session stick out…was we were not getting tired or cold… Every hour that went by, and as the sun was going down, we just kept looking at each other, laughing, and saying things like….you tired yet?, one more wave? (over and over), keep surfing?, should we get out? It was the weirdest feeling… Not only did we double our surf time, we were like…this is crazy, we are still surfing and its about to get dark… It was game changing feeling. We were sold, I was sold. I never looked back.

    Another Wetsuit- OK
Top of the Line – OK
Heard some things from some folks, young & old, Full-time surfers, Part time surfers “Isurus pretty warm, pretty comfortable”
Well I have one now and they are very warm, no need for a neoprene inner vest. Easy on, Easy off, doesn’t become soaked and heavy, it dries very quickly. It has a big zipper and key pocket for convenience. Hoping it last awhile longer because it is the warmest and most comfortable wetsuit I have ever owned! Thanks for the good fitting, warm, and comfortable suit!!! – PAT (Age 66)

These wetsuits are the best wetsuits on the planet. I have been wearing these suits for the past 3 years and nothing can touch them. They are light. They are warm. They are flexible. If you don’t believe me, take a look around the next time you are surfing cold N. Cali water. You will see yourself surrounded by others sporting Isurus suits.

  13. Sanj

This is a terrific wetsuit, and well worth the investment. It’s warmer than any other suit I’ve worn (including some that were thicker), keeping me comfortable even on cold winter days in San Francisco. The suit also manages the trick of being the least restrictive and lightest suit I’ve worn. And my suit has proven long-lived; I’m in my third year, and its just as warm as when I first purchased it. I really can’t recommend it strongly enough.

Prior to 2010 I had been using Xcel for 8 years and more often than not I would grab my 5/4/3mm living in Northen California. When I switched to the Evade 434 I was warmer and more flexibility than ever before. I credit the warmth to the aerodome, titanium, and high grade closed cell Yamamoto Neoprene! Isurus suits are really lightweight and they absorb hardly any water (which turns to excess weight) like most other suits because of the closed cell neoprene, and they dry faster. They help keep you out there longer by using compression technology (reducing lactic acid with more points of measure aka better fit), and being lighter you are sure to notice increased stamina. It’s true in the early years the suits needed a few sessions to break, which was worth it for a better fitting suit. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my 2017 Alpha Evade 434 when it went on and off like butter the first session. The best suit just got even better, and once you try one you will not be happy with anything less!!!

  15. Harrelli

I was very hesitant to switch up suits because I love how warm Xcel suits are, but I was getting tired of how heavy they get when wet and how long they take to dry. Super glad I decided to switch it up with this Isurus suit. Insanely flexible, super comfortable material on the inside, wicks away water, and was nearly dry by the time I drove home after a 3 hour surf session. Water was 55 degrees Fahrenheit and air was 45 degrees Fahrenheit. I wasn’t cold in the least bit. My MT fits true to size despite what people told me. A good suit is definitely worth the money and this suit definitely impressed me because for once all the descriptions about the suit were actually true. Don’t waste your money on other suits. You can’t surf well when you’re cold and stiff!
