This is my third Isurus suit. They are so good I won’t buy anything else now. It has transformed cold water surfing for me. I live in the UK and they are so good that I hardly ever wear gloves now as my core is so warm. I can’t rate them highly enough.

The 2019 Ti Alpha 5/4 Hooded suit arrived at the post office today. 20 minutes after picking it up I was surfing in the Atlantic ocean with it. NH.

Fresh out of the box this suit slipped on as easy as a fine cashmere sweater. I am able to slip my hands and feet right through the arms and legs without getting hung up in the middle. The interior of the suit is soft and supple and all seems are sealed up tightly. The suit is down-right cozy!

Conditions for surfing today were not a true test of the capabilities of the suit, both air and water temperatures were only at 45°. Waves were shoulder high with stiff 10-15 mph offshore wind so…I did stay in the water for 2 1/2 hours. No problem at all! While in the water I recalled reading that the suit was designed with the “arms up above the head” and let me tell you… There is absolutely no shoulder restriction. Well done!

I love the size of the visor on the hood. It is substantial and does a great job keeping the wind-blown water out of my face. I thought I would have trouble with the small size of the chest zipper but it was not an issue at all. It engaged easily and zipped very smoothly. It stayed put throughout my time in the water with no issues.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love it!

I will tell everyone that I know how great you, your company and the re-designed Ti Alpha suit are.

Buy the suit and go surf somewhere else.

    A friend forever,

    Peter from NH

Where I live is on the east coast of England, about 2 hours below the Scottish border and the water is pretty cold! Its halfway through May and it’s only just hit 10 degrees after a pretty harsh winter. This makes us surfers more tuned in with the quality of wetsuits out there because we feel every flushing, pinhole leak etc that much more and the big brands in the past few years haven’t really lived up to their marketing hyperbole. They’ve been steadily rising in cost while underdelivering in its performance and I know dozens of surfers who have returned wetsuits only to buy another, and return it and so on.

That’s why I started doing research to see what else is out there and became pretty interested in Yamamoto rubber. Your wetsuits with its compression technology along with the reviews online was enough for me to give it a go and I’m super happy I did (and relieved!).

My first impression was just how incredibly light it is, seriously, if you pick up this wetsuit and a think summer suit in the other hand you really wouldnt feel much difference in weight.

the second thing about this wetsuit is how flexible it is. I have really broad shoulders and usually have limited range of motion with other brands but this has been the first suit where i’ve really felt unrestricted in the upper body! stoked.

The wetsuit is considerably warmer than my other winter wetsuits, unsure if it is the yamamoto rubber but the fact that it doesnt flush at all like most other suits really makes a difference.

I’ll only be wearing Isurus in future!

Have use it the hole winter in Denmark. The water was down to 3 degrees Celius sometime this winter and had no problem at it was to cold in the wetsuit! Im more then happy I got from you! Looking forward to more sessions in a really warm wetsuit next winter.

  5. Rob

I recently bought a couple of suits after being a lifelong loyal Rip Curl buyer. I must say the neoprene is superior in my opinion and the suits are warm as well. I discovered a seam issue after my 4th session in this wetsuit and must wait for a 3 week turnaround for a warranty repair in the middle of winter. Great suit but certainly not superior given the price tag.

I’ve had my TiAlpha 454 since last 2016 in the Pacific NW with 12 degree air and 42 degree water. I have used many other brands over the last 20 years up here and have never been as warm. The suit is super stretchy and the fit is better than most. I am very happy to have this suit and to be able to stay out longer when it’s firing.

I bought this suit for NY/Rhode Island winters. It is definitely warmer and lighter than my previous 5mm suit from a major brand.

It is the only suit where I felt like I could have a “normal” session in 45F water.

It is the best cold water suit I know of. But it also becomes important to protect the feet, hands, and face.
7MM XCel drylock boots worked best for me. I’m still looking for the perfect gloves.

The coldest I’ve been in so far is 42F. No fault of the suit, but with the exposed face, I would get ice cream headaches when caught inside.

I wonder if some kind face covering w/ goggles could work, integrated with the hood, that was made of some magic material that wouldn’t fog up and would let you breathe normally.

Ive used this suit in New York in the dead of winter with a foot of snow on the ground. This suit keeps you sweating and there is little resistance being that it’s mostly 4mm through out the suit

This is, hands down, the best wetsuit I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned a shitload of them in my 40-plus years as a surfer, the last 17 of which have been in NorCal. It’s better than the custom-made suit I used on a trip to Antarctica and better than the off-the-shelf suit I used on a trip to the Aleutians. I’ve been wearing Isurus wetsuits for about four years now. I was immediately impressed by they way they shed water and thus stay light and flexible. But that first suit was not so great: really hard to get on and off, and it started leaking after a few months. But I kept coming back, and they’ve just gotten better and better over the years. I also love that they have an LTS size (large, tall, slim) that fits my tall, skinny ass. My Ti Alpha 454 feels as light and flexible as a 4/3 and is as easy to get on and off as a 3/2. Like I said, I’m skinny, which means I’m prone to getting cold (the fastest way to ruin a good session), so the one thing I don’t hesitate to splurge on is a good wetsuit. I’m really glad I splurged on this one.

I have the Ti Alpha and it an excellent suit. I previously had a Patagonia and the Ti is far and above in fit, warmth and flexibility. More than the performance, Isurus is stand up company backing their product. Unfortunately, I had an issue with a seam in my suit and they immediately replaced the suit. Bottom line is they have great products, are building a good wetsuit company and most importantly an honorable manufacturer. I would highly recommend their products.

just got the ti alpha, wore it for the first time in 48 degree water and air was 45 degrees, thing is pretty ridiculous, felt like I had on a good 3/2, it was that stretchy, just feels like you’re in something different when you put it on. Pumped for the winter, hopefully its as warm when the water is 38

  12. Tor

Incredible wetsuit. By far the best fit and construction on the market in my opinion. Very warm for the thickness and considering how minimalistic and thin it feels on. Comparable wheigt when wet to another brands 5/4 mm weight when dry, which is incredible. My third Isurus wetsuit. Sticking to Isurus!
