The Evade is where it all started when the NorCal early adopters started to spread the word. Our test pilots found the long paddles and harsh conditions of Mavericks to be the perfect proving grounds. This year we raised the bar on the Ti-Evade. Now with 100% Yamamoto #40 (upgraded from #38), Titanium Z-Fleece and the KoreRegulator Panel. Giving the Ti-Evade all the features of its big brother, the Ti Alpha.

We live in Hawaii and have a lackluster attitude about wetsuits and cold water. We knew we were headed to CA this winter and we’re gonna get wet in some very cold spots and needed suits to keep us stoked in the water. Kent at Isurus sent a few suits over and we tried em in Maui in my living room and was thinking what pure straight jackets. Hahahahaha. We have worn wetsuits all our lives but not as much in the last 25 years since moving to Maui. When we got in the water it was like having nothing on, the suits were super stretchy super warm and no chaffing anywhere. We bodysurfed 53 degree water for 2 hours and surfed the next day and that’s when the fit felt best. Day two the suits became like gloves to our frames. Unbelievable how far suits have come and these are like the eco Cadillac of suits. I recommend these to everyone I know and will be brand loyal for life now. Thank you Isurus for making the goods with integrity and function. Aloha

Incredible wetsuit! The best, most flexible 4/3 i’ve ever tried. Lightweight and really warm. The new #40 Yamamoto neoprene is a game changer. Gracias Isurus for the best suits in the business, cold morning jet ski rides to Todos are now even enjoyable haha

Let me start by saying that I’m 5′ 10″, weigh 130 lbs., and have been surfing for 25 years. When it comes to body shape vegetable metaphors, I might be considered a carrot or a string bean. This means that I’m pretty much always cold. I live in Santa Barbara, CA, where the water is currently hovering around 53 degrees F.

Thanks to the Isurus Ti Evade 4.3 (size small tall), I can now experience the distinct pleasure of surfing while warm. Imagine, if you will, a Hot Pocket cold from the freezer. This is me in my other wetsuits. Imagine again that same Hot Pocket, fresh from the microwave, ready to scorch the roof of your mouth. That’s me in my Isurus. When I peeled the shoulders down after my first surf in the new suit, there was steam coming off my body. I decided to try my old suit to compare the next day, and within an hour was too cold to continue my session.

Isurus, with your superior product and your earth-friendly ways, you have literally and figuratively warmed my soul. If you want a warm, flexible wetsuit that’s also kind to Mother Nature, consider Isurus. This is the best wetsuit I have ever owned.

    Cheers,

I am no Kelly Slater, just a weekend surfer for the most part. My home beach is Ocean Beach here in the Bay Area. These suits are beyond amazing. I used to be an ONeill guy and while ONeill makes great suits, these Isurus suits are at a whole other level

  5. Richard

Have worn this wetsuit 4 times so far and really impressed with it. As soon as the wetsuit conforms to your body shape the flexibility is just nothing like any other 4mm wetsuit i’ve owned in the 25 years i’ve been surfing.
I bought this to use for our spring/autumns we get on North east coast of UK and was a little unsure when i could start wearing it as water temps was still pretty cold but it is actually more than warm enough while everyone are still wearing their 5mm hooded wetsuits!
We normally wear 4mm all summer long here, but i’ve a feeling this might be a bit too warm! no bad thing indeed!

Worn a number of different manufacturers wetsuits over the years and I must say this Isurus Alpha Elite 434 surpasses them all. Once you feel the texture and finish on this suit you will know that this is a far superior material then other suits that you’ve worn. You will notice a much firmer fit to begin with, but as you use the suit it begins to conform to your particular body shape. This is nice not having the bunching of material or gaps for water to get in or cause chaffing. Another amazing aspect of this wetsuit is when you take it off and wash it down. You will notice that the suit does not absorb water and turn into a heavy neoprene mess, but is light and subtle as when you first put it on. Isurus is maybe not a brand you have heard of, but trust me you will in the future.

    BEST SUITS ON THE MARKET!!
As i mentioned on another review for the 434 hooded Evade, I’ve worn West wetsuits, Quiksilver, Billabong, Oneil, Xcel, and Ripcurl and can honestly say that none of them felt the way Isurus does. In addition to the 434 hooded Evade, i also have a 434 Elite, a 333 chest zip, and a 222 short arm. I don’t wear anything else besides Isurus. The 434 Elite is stretchier than the 434 hooded Evade, so I wear the 434 Elite most of the winter, unless it gets really cold, then i break out the 434 hooded Evade. The 434 Elite is very stretchie and easy to put on. Isurus wetsuits dont soak up water, so i dont have to worry about the suit getting heavy in the water or loosening up from the water soaking into the suit. The suits also have these cool grooves on the forearm which (i think) give you traction when paddling. Instead of a slippery arm paddling through the water, the strips on the forearm act like tread on a tire and give you a little more traction while paddling. I think it totally makes a difference and i really like that feature about the wetsuits. They also fit snug to my body which helps with blood circulation (proven by triathlete wetsuit research) and because its snug i dont have to worry about water getting in or the suit feeling stretched out. Also, the sizing fits my body perfect. Im 5’6″, 145lbs and the Small, Medium, and Medium Short all fit perfectly. I dont have to cut the legs or arms or anything. All-in-all, these are the best wetsuit i’ve ever worn. They are so ahead of the curve in every way — design, function, and construction. I am happy to write this review. The wetsuits are top of the line. Try one and you’ll be hooked!

The Isurus wetsuit line is easily the finest wetsuits made. Design wise they cannot be topped with the panels and thickness done just right. I have been in the ocean solid since 1982 in the Monterey Bay area and have used all the name brand suits and some more obscure names and can say truthfully that Isurus is way beyond the others in comfort, lightness, flexibility and durability. The Yamamoto rubber is obviously a huge factor, but the designs are amazing. I will be with Isurus for a long time.

  9. Billy M.

I have been wearing wetsuits for over 30 years and nothing has ever come close to the fit, functionality, warmth and comfort of the whole Isurus line. The 454 series has extended my season on both sides by a month and even the Aegis shirt just makes summer that much better. Isurus, don’t leave home without it!

  10. Scott Colarusso

After my first experience with the Evade, I got the Elite w/Removable Hood. Unless it is big and super cold, Im usually good with my 434 evade and 434 Elite (w/hood) all winter. I have even surfed NH when guys were in 5 and 6 mil and I was in the 434. I surf NJ, NY mainly. Isurus def. changed my winter surfing…

I have two Isurus westuits and they are my favorite wetsuits I have ever owned! I surf everyday, often 2-3 times a day. in the past I have often cycled through wetsuits way faster than I was ever happy with. Surfing as much as I do any wetsuit will go through the wear and tears of something being used daily. But with my Isurus Aplha-Elite it’s is an entirely different case. This is my go to suit for those cold days where you are unmotivated to out a wetsuit on. And I love it, it keeps me warmer, and warmer than I need to be throughout my entire surf. It’s extremely flexible and light weight, so when I am surfing it feels like I have a 3/2 on rather then a 4/3/4. And my favorite plus is that it dry’s really fast. So when I only have 1 wetsuit around, I can still surf and then out on a dry wetsuit a few hours later for another surf. I highly recommend this wetsuit!!!

  12. Drew

I’ve got two Isurus wetsuits and they’re the best suits I’ve ever owned. My favorite design feature is the back shoulder panel that heats up when the sun is out and warms you up between sets. Vey durable and a great stretch.

  13. Carl Forsberg

I just want to say that I surf all winter in Montauk, NY and number 1, I surfed in my 4/3/4 Elite (non hooded) all winter. I did have a 1 mil long sleeve with an attached hood underneath, but I was happy to be warm enough all winter that way. The number 2, the mobility was great! I sometimes had 3-4 hour sessions without getting too tired from paddling. That says a lot for the stretch factor. Number 3, the suit is super easy to put on and take off. I would absolutely recommend Isurus wetsuits to anyone. Thanks!

  14. Dante Madrigal

Best suit out there. No other wetsuit compares to its ability to harness bodily warmth that this one does.
